Snake Dance

Filed under: Personal — Dee @ 11:38 am

I have no idea why I got reminded of Sridevi’s snake dance, especially that it struck me right after I cleaned up some dried up red wine stains off my kitchen floor. Seeing the video just after the LGBT Pride parade yesterday totally opened my eyes to all the trippiness of the music, the costumes, the cheap wigs, the moves, the men-in-black on crack, etc.

Pages Ripped From a North Korean Text Book

Filed under: Humor — Dee @ 9:06 am

“In 1941, a magical hummingbird visited the people of North Korea foretelling the birth of Kim Jong Il. Later that year, the hummingbird’s prophecy was fulfilled atop Mount Paektu, the highest mountain ever.”

“He also wrote Hamlet, painted the Sistine Chapel and composed Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony in a single day – and still had time to catch a cheetah with which to weave his blessed mother a fur coat.”

Find the whole story of his magnificence here and for his illmatic journal go here.

Google Street View I like!

So, one lazy Friday I was wondering if my car was parked in an ok spot or if I needed to move it for street cleaning. Since the lotus roots of laziness held me tethered to my comfortable couch I could not move no matter how hard I tried, the more I tried theĀ  deeper I sank. In that moment of divine laziness, there was a cloud burst of brilliance. I went straight to google street view and zoomed the hell out of my parking spot and voila. That was how I thwarted any disturbance to the force (of inertia!).

Go here if you care to look through the best of Google street view.
